Silence in My Poetry Is Not a “State”

The silence occurring in my poetry
is neither

  • quiet,

  • nor calm,

  • nor settled.

Rather,

it refers to language being placed in a position where meaning cannot be fixed — that very fact itself.

Therefore,

  • it can exist even with noisy words,

  • it can exist even with many images,

  • it can exist even with emotion.

This is ontological, metaphysical silence.
