Silence in My Poetry Is Not a “State”
The silence occurring in my poetry
is neither
-
quiet,
-
nor calm,
-
nor settled.
Rather,
it refers to language being placed in a position where meaning cannot be fixed — that very fact itself.
Therefore,
-
it can exist even with noisy words,
-
it can exist even with many images,
-
it can exist even with emotion.
This is ontological, metaphysical silence.
